High School AVID Students Scholarship

Soroptimist of Merced has budgeted up to $3000 to award two or three scholarships. This is a one-year scholarship to high school students enrolled in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program in your high school.

To be eligible the female student must be a senior attending El Capitan, Golden Valley, or Merced High Schools, plan on attending an accredited two or four-year college, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The scholarship is paid directly to the college of choice upon the student’s proof registration. The awarding scholarship is made at the annual high school awards banquet.
